Thanks so much for sharing and I had a similar experience and it’s awful, like so bad….can I ask—how have you stayed employed or financially supported while you are going through this time? I’ve just been suffering through work every single day because I don’t want to have to quit my job and I need income

I got this way at work and in stores too. I had to tell my kids that if mommy feels sick in the store we have to drop everything and leave. I was so scared. On 50mg of zoloft and it has helped me so much!

Thank you for sharing! I had my first panic attack beginning of August and literally went to the ER because I thought I was dying. It was the scariest thing I’ve experienced and I’ve completely changed since then. I appreciate you sharing your story - it’s always nice to remind myself that we’re not alone in this!

My agoraphobia came from getting POTS. I was at a job that led me to extreme burnout which triggered my first pots flare and I was nearly bed bound for 6 months, only getting up to go to the bathroom and forcing myself to eat. That is what caused my agoraphobia bc of how bad I felt in bed so why would I leave my room much less my house. I have since moved back home and am doing much better but the agoraphobia is still there. Feeling trapped is what gets me. Trapped in a car, in a conversation, anything where I’m not close to safety (isolation, my room), doctor’s offices, checkout lines, etc. I’m working through that as best I can but it’s hard asf and it’s been 2 and 1/2 years and I hateeee it but I have to believe it’ll get better

We had almost an exact same situation. Exposure helped until I went too far and got sent back to square 1! Super cool. Gonna start Zoloft soon

Thank you for talking about this! Hearing you mention going into Target or even going for a walk is such a relief because those things feel so impossible to me right now.
