I had one of those fuses that would test as good when it was flipped over. If I hold it up right it would test bad.

This is why my test light is a headlight from a car. I load test everything. I’ve been tricked by too many meters.

I do initial test with a dvom to make sure the circuit isn't completely open but it gets followed up with a load test 👍

It's so difficult to beat this info into other techs. They have such a hard time grasping the concept that good continuity doesn't necessarily mean a good circuit. This fuse is great example of such. If you were to test it under load, it would likely have a large voltage drop.

You have to simulate a load. A resistance check will never tell you if the fuse can go up to all of the rated current. With 1 ohm, it may or it may not go.

Correct the bleep activates below 50 ohms which is not and accurate resistance test.

i would if they have a protective resistor to protect the curcuit or and led that lights up when blown
