@us.new.trending4: Miley Cyrus Returns to the Stage After Nearly Four Years, Saying She Now Has “Everything” She Ever Wanted Miley Cyrus is back on stage. On Friday, Oct. 16, the 33-year-old singer played the first of two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It was her first major performance in nearly four years. Nearly 1.5 million fans joined the presale queue for the two nights. According to the source, that set a record for demand. Cyrus played songs from her 10th album, Bass Persuades. She also brought back classics like “The Climb,” “We Can’t Stop,” and “Party in the U.S.A.” She spoke about finding balance. She said she was once unsure that live shows were something she wanted to dedicate herself to. “For me, performance can’t be everything,” she told the crowd. She said she wants a life where she can “really have everything that I ever wanted.” She said she adopted a new fish named Balthazar that day. She said she was as excited about the fish as she was about the show. Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips joined her on a B-stage for two songs. Later, her fiancé, Maxx Morando, came out to drum for “Let’s Get Married” and “Flowers.” Cyrus also grew emotional. She spoke through tears about her late godmother, Dolly Parton, and sang “Jolene” in her honor. She said she was “overwhelmed” by the love from fans. She also said nothing was wrong. She plays a second show on Saturday, Oct. 18. What song would you want to hear Miley sing live? #new #hollywood #BassPersuades #mileycyrus #music
