@mckinnongalloway: Sometimes you’re so busy surviving that you forget to recognize how far you’ve come. ❤️ Today, on my way from the airport, a conversation with a stranger made me realize just how much life has changed. Years ago, I had the privilege of sitting in rooms with doctors, researchers, and patient advocates, helping give patients a voice. I loved that work, and I’ve missed it more than I can explain. Now, years later, after brain surgeries, a stroke, losing my hearing, and countless challenges, I’m finding myself back in those rooms. Only this time, it’s through something we’ve built together. What started as a desperate need for connection has grown into a community of 1.1 MILLION people. 🥹 I’m still a patient. I’m still in treatment. And I still have difficult days. But today, instead of focusing on how far I have left to go, I found myself appreciating how far I’ve already come. And I realized something… I haven’t necessarily made it. But I’ve made it through. And that’s worth celebrating. Thank you for helping me turn a search for connection into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. ❤️ Here’s to recognizing our wins, even when we’re still in the middle of the journey.
