IT’S TIME TO GIVE KJ A SHOT! 🤘🏽🏈 At what point does Texas finally make a change at quarterback? In my opinion, Arch Manning has cost Texas its last two games. The biggest issue isn’t just his inconsistent play, it’s his inability to make the right decisions when the game is on the line. You cannot continue turning the football over in critical situations and expect to win big games. These aren’t just meaningless turnovers either. They’re happening at moments when Texas has opportunities to take control, build momentum, or put games away. There are receivers running wide open, clear opportunities to make plays, and situations where he needs to use his legs, but he’s either not seeing it, hesitating, or making the wrong decision. When the pressure increases, his decision-making seems to get worse. At this point, I genuinely believe Arch is limiting the offense. There are things Texas should be able to do offensively that they simply aren’t executing because of his struggles processing defenses and making quick decisions. So why not give KJ Lacey Jr. a shot? You’ve already lost two straight games. What do you have to lose? Open up the offense and see what another quarterback can do. Maybe KJ brings a different level of confidence, quicker decision-making, and the ability to distribute the football to the playmakers around him. And let’s not forget about Dia Bell. Texas has talented quarterbacks in that room who deserve an opportunity to show what they can do. I’m not saying Arch doesn’t have talent, but talent alone doesn’t win football games. You have to protect the football, understand situations, make the correct reads, and execute when the pressure is at its highest. As far as Arch’s future goes, I think he needs to seriously consider his options. Whether that’s transferring or eventually pursuing the NFL, I personally don’t believe he’s ready for the league right now. At some point, potential has to turn into production. Texas has too much talent to keep losing games because of quarterback play. Give KJ a shot. See what you’ve got. What do y’all think? Am I wrong, or is it time for Texas to make a change? #CoachProsTake #TexasFootball #HookEm #KJLacey #ArchManning
