Today, I worked on applying pressure and asking him to turn and face me. We gradually worked toward getting him comfortable enough to let me reach out and give him a few pets for the very first time. I didn’t attempt to put a halter on him today. Before we get to that point, I want to start building communication and helping him understand what I’m asking of him. These might seem like small steps, but they’re the beginning of everything that comes next.
