@after_hours_research: $1,000 in SanDisk on its first trading day is now about $27,000 💾 SanDisk started trading on its own on Feb 24, 2025 at $48.60. At $1,299 (Oct 16 close) that's about 27 times the money. In the last year Nvidia's stock is up about 18%; SanDisk is up about 9 times. It makes memory chips, the same kind of chip in your phone and your USB stick, and AI data centers started buying them: data center sales were almost $3B last quarter vs about $213M a year earlier, and about two thirds of the growth came from higher prices. A year ago it lost money. Last quarter it made $6.9B in profit and kept about 85 cents of every sales dollar after making the chips (26 cents a year earlier). So at about $1,300 a share it costs about 18 times its profits from the last year. The catch: memory moves in booms and busts, and SanDisk itself calls its industry cyclical. Would you buy a stock that already went up 27 times? Yes or no 👇 Data: SanDisk SEC filings (10-K, 8-K), Yahoo Finance. P/E = price / earnings per share over the last year. Not financial advice. SanDisk stock, SNDK, memory chips, AI stocks, NAND, data centers, P/E ratio #sandisk #sndk #stocks #investing #ai
