Make it make sense… I’m content, and I’m upset at the same time. It feels like I’m closing the door on a part of my life I never fully walked into. Most days I know our family is complete, and I know we only have the capacity for Amelia in this next stage of life. But then there are moments when I wonder… am I failing her by not giving her a sibling to grow up with? It doesn’t help that just last night she asked if there could be another baby in my belly so she’d have a friend. I use to say “ask Jesus”. That way it was completely on Him. If you’ve walked through this—whether by choice, circumstances, or after your spouse had a vasectomy—I would love to hear your experience. This feels like such a strange mix of peace, grief, gratitude, and “what if,” all at the same time.
