@raychlepeach: Crying with the colony. 😭It is heart breaking seeing them all dead in the trees, in the water and on the ground. Flying-foxes (fruit bats) across eastern Australia are facing a severe mass-starvation event due to a widespread lack of native tree blossoms and nectar. The starvation event coincides with the birthing season. Malnourished mothers are giving birth prematurely, abandoning young, or dying, leaving behind emaciated, skeletal pups. #bat #animal #environment #australia #foryou
