@mortgagefreeleigh: 🧐 Life Reset 🧐 Last year I joined the apparently growing group of overwhelmed, career confused 30 and 40 year old uk mums who thought they would be somewhere else in their life by this point. I did not think that I would be taking an extended career break from my job of 15 years right before my 40th birthday because I couldn’t keep doing the juggle, I didn’t think I’d have less disposable income than ever and be trying to avoid doing a food shop because it’s so expensive in this cost of living crisis and I didn’t think we’d be stuck living in our first home as a couple potentially forever as there is zero chance we can afford to move. I will say that I thought taking a career break from my job would be a fix all solution - I wouldn’t have that to manage and balance on top of the full time jobs that are having children, managing a house and reading the school emails. Weirdly, it turned out that this wasn’t the whole problem. So I’ve got a lot of work to do if I want to completely reset my life as a 40 year old mum of two but I wanted to make this post so all the other lost mums in their 30s and 40s could find me first ❤️ 👀 Who else feels like this?!
