As a former child who was highly observant and a former preschool teacher, I’ve been saying this for YEARS! 😂We need a parenting competency test. Some of us recognized this problem before we even hit puberty💀

In sex ed, they need to make it clear to kids that they don’t need to have kids if they don’t want them for real. Breaking down the societal pressure would probably help too, at least i personally think. A lot of people only have kids because they feel like thats what they’re supposed to do and it’s not the only option.

I’m adopted and my mom and dad obviously had to go through a huge application process. The cutest part was they made a book about themselves with photos, things in the town, stuff they liked doing, etc to show potential adoptees. I still have the book and it’s so special to me
