this is all true feom my experience. always a dangling carrot when they feel you withdrawing. it's a complete mindfu#k. only way to get out of the constant cycle was to leave. her kids all left and kept distance after moving out. her family all kept distance. separating and realizing you were the only one feeding or giving to the relationship is what makes i clear. when you finally realize they offered nothing, and took everything.
