A response to my friend 🤭 @yassin Mongol Conquests The Mongol conquests were a series of military campaigns during the 13th century that created the largest contiguous land empire in history. Originating in Central Asia, the Mongols united under Genghis Khan in 1206 and expanded across China, Central Asia, Persia, the Middle East, and parts of Eastern Europe. Their expansion was driven by military ambition, political power, control of trade routes, and access to resources. Mongol armies relied on highly mobile cavalry, skilled archers, strict discipline, and advanced military strategies. They conquered major cities and defeated powerful kingdoms, often causing widespread destruction, population displacement, and civilian suffering. After Genghis Khan's death in 1227, his successors continued expanding the empire, and Kublai Khan completed the conquest of the Southern Song dynasty in China in 1279. Mongol rule transformed Eurasia by connecting distant regions through trade, diplomacy, and cultural exchange along the Silk Road. However, warfare and conquest also caused significant demographic and political changes. Over time, disagreements over succession divided the empire into several khanates, including the Yuan dynasty in China, the Golden Horde, the Chagatai Khanate, and the Ilkhanate. Despite its eventual fragmentation, the Mongol Empire profoundly influenced the political, economic, and cultural history of Eurasia. #parati #foryou #paratiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii #dance #tiktok
