Whenever I rewatch the movie I always skip this part cause I’m just so heartbroken for Rachel 💔nothing more hurtful than having the same people that caused you such misery for the past week laugh in your face at your lowest moment. I wouldn’t have gone back to nick at all if I was her, I would’ve at least taken a WAY longer break from him

The concept of choosing to sacrifice your own personal happiness for the sake of others hurts in ways that cannot be so easily defined in words. She wanted him to be happy but also didn't want him to hate his mom and took it upon herself to want to let go, to give it up because she was kind and didn't want his mom to go through that but know that both her and him would be hurt. This emotional sacrifice and pain is absolutely EXQUISITE
