@imacy93: Thinking of a quick weekend trip from Berlin with the kids? Come with us to Dresden! We took a direct train from Berlin; just 2 hours and €35 for the three of us. Paying a little extra for a fast, direct train instead of our Deutschlandtickets was such a lifesaver with two kids! Dresden is famous for its beautiful old buildings, grand palaces like the Zwinger, big castles, and its lovely spot right by the Elbe River. We stayed at Suite Hotel Dresden, right across from the Frauenkirche. We even got upgraded to a room with an incredible view of the church! Clean, minimal, and so central.
