ive observed that if youre a new acc twiter just doesnt show ur posts to anybody. not even in the hastags so youll have to interact with posts a lot more until you receive like a pop up that says "youve discovered more on x" and then people can see ur posts, tho the algorithm is really bad and honestly purely based off luck, your best bet is someone from your fandom with a large follower count reposting your art from searching thru the hastags and it gets to other people's timelines!!

I don't know much about x algorithm but I got some followers when I did a challenge drawing certain character for 30 days for their birthday, the people who were doing the challenge with me reposted my drawings and liked them, also I got more likes when the character I posted about was new in that fandom, maybe you could try something like that but posting on x is still gambling most of the times, sometimes I get almost 1k likes while there are days I don't even get one

U can start by drawing fanarts and engage more in fandom community. The art community in there is always hit or miss. Also i heard that ur posts get a better chance at pushing to wider audience w/o tagging on Twitter

In my case I'm in a fandom, so is more easy, but I saw people who just post and if it doesn't get likes (in like 2-4 hours) they delete the post and try again

Engage with trends, people, and actually use tags people actually see. Same with art: draw art people want to see and engage with other artists. If you are lucky enough, you'll find a big enough artist to shout you out. Don't beg for likes and stuff since desperate= not long term.
