@gnjfg55960: Natasha Thasan has issued an apology to the South Asian community after her video about Maitreyi Ramakrishnan using her saree inspiration. She acknowledges where she went wrong. My question is why did it need to be popularized in the West? Her video has been deleted since but l've received DMs about how she's never been very supportive of fellow Tamil women since high school and has been exposed for such in the past. I don't know what to make of all of this-I appreciate the apology but the West doesn't need to capitalize on South Asian culture any more than it already has.
