{Broken Pieces} It was at a time i wasn't guarding my heart, so I wasn't looking for excuses or reasons for why I was alone, with Possibilities still lingering inside my head, I thought i found the forever love, I suddenly began to understand emotions instead of being cautious of my heart I traded Pieces of me in exchange for Pieces of them for Love, It might have been a fairytale but i wasn't going to let go of this dream, It was me and true love crossing paths for the first time, and so I forgot about the past and began a new Journey nobody could find me because I had been swept away, feeling awake in my dream I thought about how everything i need now lives inside my heart silent whispers say everything you want to hear without giving any warnings telling you this new found love could be only temporary, but love can't save you in the beginning, just like it can't save you from the past, in the end you find yourself standing outside the dream holding on to the Broken Pieces... ©Donnie Pike 10/18/26 A Poet's Journey #Brokenpiecesdp - @donnie19620
