One of the best dinners I’ve had in my life @Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House ❤️ Tried Mikuya in Temple City and we got the Diamond Set (the highest tier) for 2 guests. We started with Tom Yum and spicy miso, and the Tom Yum was definitely my favorite. It had that sour, tangy flavor that was so good. You can choose two broths at a time, so you can do a half-and-half, and you can switch them up later too. We ended up trying the house broth and sukiyaki after, which is soy-based. 🥩🍣🦐 The meat selection from the Diamond Set was so tasty and tender, especially the Japanese A5 Wagyu Brisket and Japanese A5 Wagyu Shoulder Cut. As for the special sides, the bone marrow and wagyu nigiri were definitely some of my favorites. The seafood was also really fresh, especially the abalone and shrimp. I don’t even like seafood that much, but I just couldn’t resist how fresh it looked and tasted. 🥟 But don’t sleep on the fried food either. The chicken katsu, gyoza, fried baos, and tempura were all so good and crunchy. 🥤We also have unlimited drinks in our set, so we tried the lemonade, ginger ale, iced tea and coke. Everything was really refreshing. The service was great too. Everyone was really nice, and the food came out pretty quickly after ordering from the iPad. Definitely a spot I’d recommend in the 626 for hot pot!
