@yourpositivehealth: Dr. James Harris didn’t have a typical path into medicine. He grew up around addiction and instability, struggled through high school and became a father as a teenager. A school counsellor eventually helped him see a route into college, opening a door he had never seriously considered. Years later, Harris became a surgeon and now leads surgery at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center while helping train future doctors. His story is a powerful reminder of how mentorship, opportunity and persistence can completely change the direction of a life. 🩺 Follow @yourpositivehealth for more inspiring health stories.
