Liv was willing to go on walks when Tater Tot came along. The two dogs formed a close bond. Tater Tot, who was usually selective about other dogs, accepted his new companion. Before long, they were playing together, sharing space, and moving through daily life as a pair. As Liv became more comfortable, her personality began to emerge. Caitlyn watched her play with Tater Tot's toys, explore the house, and grow more confident around her family. What began as a temporary foster arrangement soon became permanent. Caitlyn decided to adopt Liv and gave her a new name, Sweet Pea. Her journey was not without medical challenges. According to Caitlyn's account, Sweet Pea underwent five surgeries, including treatment for a wound on her face. Through it all, she remained surrounded by the people and the dog who had welcomed her. By the time her story was shared in 2023, Sweet Pea had become an affectionate family companion who still preferred having Caitlyn and Tater Tot beside her on walks.
