@monstrofarm: I got lucky with this find. When you get multiple plants in one pot, sometimes it makes sense to divide them. So that’s what I decided to do with this Pink Princess, but I gave each plant a different setup. 🪴 First, I removed the pot and gently loosened the soil so I could separate the plants, keeping as many roots intact as possible. 🥣 Next, I mixed up a chunky potting mix with coco chunks, coir, bark, leca, and perlite to give the roots a balance of moisture and air. 🚿 For the plant going into water, I rinsed away the remaining soil, gently working it out from between the roots. 💧 Then I placed it in a small glass vase with the roots in water and the leaves above the waterline. 🌱 The other plant went into a pot with drainage and the fresh mix, gently working it around the roots before watering it in. 🪵 I added support by using a cedar plank and secured the stems with velcro straps to help keep everything upright. Several months later, one crowded pot had become two plants! I filmed the reveals at different times, so this wasn’t a controlled water-versus-soil experiment, just two different ways to grow the plants I separated. 💗 #TikTokLearningCampaign #EduTok #plants #gardeningtiktokcontest
