I lived in Poland for 4 years as a black person, great country but again like this guy says be respectful to a place thats giving you an opportunity don’t act like you own the place and break stuff

This man is on it. Even when you’re just traveling, you are a guest. Always be on your best behavior and learn the culture. When you move somewhere assimilation doesn’t mean you drop your culture, do your thing. It means that you respect what was there and how people live. You don’t try to change the countries natural culture. Of course all places have aspects of the culture that aren’t great. If I moved to Poland for example, I’d learn polish and be someone they like having there.

When I studied in Poland for 6 years I experienced the same issue with foreigners students specifically African Americans, they always wanted to implement their way of living and that pissed me off, and considering myself as 4 gen immigrants from Iraq I learned to respect and behave in Poland. Never had any issue with any polac.
