I spent all day outside went to the marais and the 20th arr but at night time things have become crazy (im in the 11th) so just stay inside after 7pm

It is safe, however you don’t know when or where the protest will start or end. Oct 19 I could not get to my Airbnb in the 4th arrondissement and we were stuck in our uber on the street where they were running and getting tear gassed. It was scary to be in the middle of. We did end up checking into a hotel since we could not get to the apartment rental.

I’m really scared to go because I’m going on the 29th for my birthday and my nan is taking me for my birthday because she thinks this will be the last bday I would want to spend with her :( I really hope I don’t have to cancel

Again. As a tourist, the reason I’m going to place de la Republique is because this is where my hotel is. We are still staying safe. But it’s not like Republique is tourist free.
