Great idea. I saw @postcardknits button the sweater using the back s and having the front buttons be decorative to take some of the weight off.

Oh I think it’s beautiful!! I thought maybe a tiny hook and eye??? Or a tiny snap button that you could just sew in the parts that gap on the inside of the button band 🤷♀️

I absolutely love that cardigan and hope you enjoy wearing it more now after the fix. I’m 90% through my daydreamer but haven’t done a button band before and find it confusing. But I’ll get it done eventually.

This has been on my list since you first shared it! I was anxious to try HFR for the first time with this pattern though. I feel slightly more confident after I’ve completed a couple of jaunty shawls though! I’m soaking in your updates about the button band. It looks amazing now, but I always thought it looked great!

The placement of the lace on her lace items isn’t very thoughtful. And there are gauge issues with the kinds of lace. Transitions aren’t smooth. I modified mine but I felt like I shouldn’t have to after buying a pattern. Anyway, I agree
