With electricity cost on the rise, hud should be deducting the cost of rent. It's called Utility Allowance. If your electric goes up, and it has🤔 There should be an offset in the rent you pay, that amount should be decreased. Class act suit of 2004.

I am on ssi my mom lives with me and she is on ss we have section 8 our apartments recently did a total renovation. Usually our rent goes up,around 25 dollars a month UT for 2027 it went up over 100.00. I know our pre house colas get factored in. UT I am surprised it went up over 100 I am sure the renovations caused some of it

But they only do redeterminations every 2 years, so we won't feel that effect until 2 years from now if we just had a redetermination.
