@pulse.sw1992: 🚨 PHILADELPHIA, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. 🫀 People are struggling to survive. Families are hurting. People are dying, and some people out here can barely afford to eat, let alone pay another ticket. 💔 So why does it feel like writing citations is the priority when so many people in this community need real help? ACCOUNTABILITY MATTERS. BUT SO DOES COMPASSION. Imagine being hit with another fine when you’re already struggling to make it through the day. What does that solve? Does it make the neighborhood safer? Does it help the people who are hurting? Or does it just add another burden to people who are already down? We need more compassion, more outreach, more resources, and more solutions. Public safety should mean protecting people, not just penalizing them. 🫀 THE PEOPLE NEED HELP, NOT JUST ANOTHER TICKET. Philadelphia, let’s have this conversation. What should our priorities really be? 👇 Drop your thoughts in the comments. Cops are not taught humility empathy, some come in understanding because they have been part of the struggle , those that don’t know think they are doing their job , policing is not always about stopping crime …. Some get it some don’t , I think this is why it is very important that these police academy teach about community interactions and how being part of the community is you gonna help and uplift our children help an addict get out of the street , some of these cops they dump em in a community they never grew up in … and cops like that you can’t talk to them they don’t see reason and don’t want to be wrong , and as a community we also have to do our part !
