It's usually the week they put the item out so it doesn't sit out for too long, in my shop stuff stays out for 4 weeks before it's rotated to another shop, its week 30 from tomorrow so week 29 is still a new item 😄 hope this makes you feel less sad about it haha

I have volunteered at a charity shop and the actual number mean the actual week they were put out in a code system not normally out in shop for more than 2 week cycle

Charity shop manager here, they’ll get rotated on to another shop so not thrown away 🥹 I do make sure they are all facing forward and ‘can see’ when I put them out though 🥹it’s when you sell them to a person that says it’s for my dog, it’ll be destroyed within 5 minutes 😬 we tried little friend, we tried ❤️

It's the week the item goes out. It goes off the financial year, so week 1 is the first week in April. It's so the staff know how long items have been on the shelf for for stock rotation, throwing away, or moving onto a different branch.
