I’ve kind of stopped any sort of fine dining because of this. Food prices have went up and having to pay even more for a tip is kind of nuts.

did anyone ever think that it cost that server money to wait on you if you don't tip properly they have to tip out on there sales and they get server wages

Some of you have never waited tables and it shows. Until they pay living wages most wait staff makes $2.50 an hour and get paid every 2 weeks. Most of them work 30 or less hrs a week, so they have no benefits. I only lasted 3 weeks when I took a wait job, and sworn never again and I didn’t.

There was a time when percentage worked. But with the insane prices today. It’s not practical to think someone deserves to make 150$ to bring your meal and fill your drinks

I don’t get the tiping society in USA here in Europe we tip if we want to or based on the work performance.. why I should Tipp poorly made latte macchiato.. when I can have it better at home ✌👀 Especially early in the morning when I want a good strong espresso not a water from someone’s sweating socks 🧦 ..
