I lost my wonderful husband two weeks ago (2nd October). We were on a cruise and he’d been complaining of indigestion all afternoon. I eventually convinced him to go to the medical centre and it turned out he’d had a massive heart attack. He was given medication to break up the blood clots and for pain management. I said good night to him at 9.30pm. At 7.20am the following morning I got a call from the medical centre to come down urgently and arrived to see them performing CPR. Unfortunately after 50 minutes they were unable to resuscitate him. I had 5 days alone for the remainder of the cruise and on the day of disembarkation I went to the medical centre to fill out some final paperwork. I also had to give a statement to police and formally identify his body. He was cremated in Sydney on Wednesday and I’m now waiting for his ashes to be returned to Melbourne. My heart feels like it has been shattered into a million pieces and I don’t know how to live without him.

أفتقد أبي يا الله فاجعله بفضلك مُنعم مكرم هنيئةً روحُه ‏بما يلقى عندك ، اللَّهم اجمعني بأبي عند عتبات الجنة ‏ربي اجمعني به مجمعًا يُنسيني كل يوم مر من دونه وكل ‏ذرة فقد واشتياق له ، اللَّهم طيّب اللقاء وطيّب الجزاء ‏اللَّهم أكرمه وارحمه كما أحسن لي وكان لي خير أبّ .
