Real soul food comes out of ppl apartments or homes. Restaurants in NYC all soul food is nasty or just doesn't taste like authentic soul food.

Melba’s used to be good. A lot of the soul food spots here were. The elders running these places either sold or got taken over by new people and they all fell off. The decline was sad lol

Melba's is good to folks that dont know good, southern soul food. People use soul food ingredients and call it soul food. It about seasoning and technique.
