We picked all our kids name’s, well other than our middle kid. i was by myself when she was born, so I picked it .but he was ok with her name, yes our oldest daughter has same middle name as me and my mom. But we did it, cause it goes great with her first name. Our middle daughter names, r the same. i picked her middle name, cause works great with her first name. Our youngest daughter name, was sort of picked by her nan on her dads side. We picked a few names, and she said she liked it so we picked it.

Im glad the MIL changed but booooiiiii the rage I felt leading up to it. She woulda caught hands from me, even if it made things worse cuz WOW that made me mad. I dont think i could have been as forgiving as OP and her husband, theyre better people than me
