I had an apartment complex next to a train and it was so soothing. Rainy dark nights and hearing the engine/whistle was my fav. So nostalgic!

The train is an absolute deal breaker, clacking noise, whistles, blocked traffic exit several times daily and then there's the potential derail and chemical spill.

I used to live across the street from a major railway. at one point it was 13 active tracks. I was prepared for the noise. I wasn't prepared for the house shaking depending what kind of train went past. but it was also only $42k in like 2012 so it was a trade off lol
