This is my 24th year teaching in MS. I bring home $3470 a month. We got a "raise" this year of $2,000 a year. Then, of course our insurance deductibles went up. So, my raise amounts to 67 cents an hour.

Not to mention we have to work roughly 12-15 hours of overtime every week that we don’t get compensated for. We could get an extra job during the week that would give us more income, but we don’t have the time to. Bc this is a full time plus a part time job in one.

This is my 28th year of teaching my take home is 4,017 a month … this is with out paying my insurance because my school pays that. I have worked a second job year round the entire 28 years 😢
