![In the City of Angels, some wings shine brighter than others. Once again, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show brought back the glamour that makes it one of the year’s most anticipated events. A kind of girls’ therapy, filled with blowouts, wings and the world’s most famous lingerie, worn by fashion’s biggest icons. The formula may be familiar, but somehow, it still manages to surprise us. From backstage to the runway, glamour is everywhere. Even the preparation, with hair, makeup and those iconic pink robes, has become part of the show. Bella Hadid opened the runway, joined by Victoria’s Secret OGs Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jasmine Tookes and Elsa Hosk. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also made her comeback, twenty years after her VS debut. Familiar faces included Gigi Hadid, Amelia Gray, Alex Consani, Vittoria Ceretti, Anok Yai, Abby Champion, Iris Law, Paloma Elsesser and Ashley Graham. Among the newcomers was Solange Omon, winner of a nationwide casting documented in the series Angels Among Us. Then came a special debut: Kylie Jenner, who wore this year’s Fantasy Bra for her first appearance as an Angel. Created by Jacob & Co. with Victoria’s Secret, the piece is made entirely of 18K gold and diamonds, with no fabric underneath. It features 3,218 individually assembled components, 4,410 natural diamonds and over 1,000 hours of work by 15 artisans. At its center sits a 75.54-carat Fantasy Vivid Yellow diamond, surrounded by white diamonds in six cuts, including Jacob & Co.’s Angel-Cut. The most expensive Fantasy Bra ever created, worth $50 million, inspired by the impossible. Because at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, even the impossible feels possible. This year, performances by Tate McRae, KATSEYE, Megan Moroney and Megan Thee Stallion made the runway even more spectacular, reminding us why we keep coming back every year.
