I like to make mine with milk and a little bit of cream, garlic, salt, pepper, a little bit of rosemary and a grilled cheese oh, and butter in the soup

My grandma made EVERYTHING from scratch ... when she made this & tomato sauce ... after you blended it ... my grandma took a large carrot 🥕 peeled & cut off top ( no stem ) cut it in half & added it to soup ( she never added sugar ) the carrot takes some acidity out & releases carrot juice ( sweet ) sometimes she added a few carrots depending on the amount of soup she made !! She canned ( jar ) what she wanted, then put cream in for all to eat !! I only ate the grilled cheese ( not a fan of this soup ). My grandma taught me how to make stock ( broth ) as a child & even canning in jars !! Over the years, I have changed her chicken noodle soup to chicken tortellini soup & yes my grandma loved my soup changes, a few of her friends had to come over, watch me cook & all eat it !! Her friends were impressed & grandma was proud ! 💯🥰😈

Looks amazing, but that's hardly enough to satisfy my hunger since I'm a gluttonous pig. I'd love to see your take on split pea soup with smoked meat. I prefer smoked ham hocks. My Dad used to make his with a ham bone.
