@damienread_: ness is your whole personality.” I’ve heard people say this about others who love training, and I’ve never really understood why it’s supposed to be a bad thing. Everyone builds their life around something. For some it’s going out every weekend, drinking, partying or whatever else they enjoy. For others it’s work, gaming, cars or any number of things. But when someone makes training, eating well, looking after themselves and pushing their physical and mental limits a priority, suddenly they’ve made fitness their whole identity? And what’s wrong with that? I love training. I love challenging myself, looking good, feeling strong and seeing what I’m capable of. It’s not my entire life, but it’s a massive part of who I am. And I’m not embarrassed to show it off. I’d rather be known for putting effort into becoming the best version of myself than pretending I don’t care what I become. We’re all choosing what we give our time and energy to. This is one of my choices, and I’m fucking proud of it. Curious though… when did being passionate about something become a bad thing?

I’d rather train than be amongst drunks. Sure I’ll do a restaurant or something but that’s it. It comes with age and maturity
