It's true, but unfortunately, 1. You have to find an attorney. Most attorneys currently will not take people already detained. 2. You have to be able to afford the $5,000-$10,000 for an attorney. 3. Your lawyer has to be able to get to you. That's why they are moving them out of state. 4. Hearing dates are way backlogged. 5. You have to have the full bond amount - usually $20,000-$50,000 - up front. There are not immigration bail bonds. 6. You have to find your own way home, even if they took you to another state.
