@earthsignalofficial: October 18, 2026 | Outer Banks to Chesapeake Bay A nor'easter is taking shape off the North Carolina coast and is expected to become organized by Monday afternoon. Forecasters say gusts could top 60 mph on the Outer Banks, with tides running 2 to 4 feet above normal along a long stretch of the Mid-Atlantic coast. Coastal flooding could begin with today's high tides, and evacuations have already been ordered in parts of North Carolina. Strong winds may linger well into the week. Many of these beaches are still recovering from last month's nor'easter. The National Hurricane Center is also watching the system for possible tropical or subtropical development. #EarthSignal #PatternsHidingInPlainSight #Noreaster #OuterBanks #CoastalFlooding 📍 Outer Banks, North Carolina
