@thirdrailsports: Florian Wirtz cost Liverpool £116m. He has one assist this season. No goals since April. Seven starts. Nothing to show for it. Bayern Munich are watching. They think he'd come back to Germany. And Liverpool have no clean way out — sell him and you lose a fortune, keep him and the criticism keeps building. This is what a £116m mistake looks like in real time. Wirtz has one assist across seven Liverpool starts this season. Is this a player who needs time, or one who was simply the wrong fit from day one? #FlorianWirtz #Liverpool #ThirdRailSports Photo: Alamy
