@shuttario: I’ve never understood how people use their cameras with a strap. I hate having those strings dangling from the sides of my camera while I’m shooting. If I need to carry my camera somewhere, I’d rather put it in a bag than wear it around my neck. Am I the only one who feels this way? Camera: Sony A7
I don’t use straps, I do nightclub photography so I use a harness

I use a crossbody harness for mine.i absolutely love it. I definitely believe it's up to the photographer 😀 and especially depends on what you do.

Been shooting for 30 years never had a neck strap fail. 3k camera and a 1k lens a strap is a cheap insurance policy.

I have one strap attachment on the body and the other on the foot, probably the only way to carry this comfortably

For certain types of photography, it is necessary to have your camera—or cameras—readily accessible so you can react quickly to unfolding situations. I use two camera bodies simultaneously: one equipped with a 16–35mm lens and the other with a 70–200mm lens. I carry both using their respective straps; the strap for the camera with the 70–200mm lens goes around my neck, but the weight is supported by a NewsWear harness. I attach the hook from the lens’s tripod mounting plate to this harness. The camera with the 16–35mm lens hangs from my left shoulder, with its strap secured to the harness’s shoulder strap using a Velcro loop. The harness also holds a couple of additional lenses, filters, and other accessories.

Shoulder straps are great. Take weight of your wrist and are quick access. Especially if you have a heavy set up for wildlife photography for example
