I understand your general message of making conscious decisions. However, capitalism is a real system in which most of the world’s population lives in poverty. There is a larger problem and it requires all of us knowing that we can indeed control it but we must stop thinking as individuals

So I have been desperately trying to pay off debt. I really thought I was just irresponsible with money… Turns out it is the economy. I am a single mom of three, but I also have a mortgage and every single bill on my own. I don't have someone to split bills with, I don't have anybody who can help me or that I could have ever stayed with. I moved out of my parents house at 17 and never looked back. I literally couldn't. I wish I had a family that I could have relied on. But unfortunately I don't. I am also an RN. I wrote down every single bill (mind you, all these bills are literally just bills I have to pay to live lol) and my income vs what HAS to go out is significantly off balance. Not even including groceries for 4 people. And gas for the car. It's sad, really 😔 I went to nursing school to provide my kids a better life. But then gas went to $5 a gallon and a gallon of milk went to $6

I think more people need to understand what financial independence actually means, and @Katrina | Mom Life 🦋✨ does a great job bringing attention to the subject. Definitely worth checking out if FIRE is something you’ve been researching.
