CALLUM JOHNSON BLACKPOOL VOYEURISM CHILD RAPE In 2020, Callum Johnson, then 18, originally of Blackpool, Lancashire, was returned to prison at Preston Crown Court after executing a predatory campaign against the privacy of workers at his supported accommodation. Just two months after being released on license for child rape, Johnson pleaded guilty to voyeurism after attempting to film people using a toilet on Percy Street. THE GAMES CONSOLE HIDDEN CAMERA An investigation conducted by Lancashire Constabulary established that Johnson's illicit behavior was uncovered on 5 March 2020. A member of staff became suspicious after noticing Johnson repeatedly entering and exiting a communal bathroom. Upon inspecting the room, the employee discovered a blue Nintendo DS handheld games console hidden behind toilet rolls. The console's integrated camera was actively recording at a specific angle intended to capture individuals using the facilities. When confronted by detectives, Johnson spun a web of lies to deny involvement. However, investigators completely dismantled his denials using data recovered from the hardware, which contained video footage of Johnson explicitly planting the device in the bathroom.
