I always “pimp” my topper a little 😌✨ Especially my brunettes and darker rooted pieces. Blondes usually don’t need nearly as much pimping ☺️ The thin, flat front transition of an SL Topper with Closed Lace Front is transparent. Depending on your bio hair underneath — or if your parting isn’t lined up perfectly — that tiny closed lace area can sometimes look slightly darker than the rest of the parting. My trick? I dab a tiny bit of concealing powder on top to even it out. Then there’s the opposite situation ☺️ The silk area next to the parting can sometimes look a little lighter, especially where the silk ends at the front. There I use a little root powder that matches the hair color, bringing it right up to the front rim. Important: I don’t put the root powder where I actually part the hair — only on the left and right side of the parting. And no, you don’t have to do this every day 😅 Once applied, it usually stays put until you wash your topper. It might just need a tiny touch-up here and there in between. These little tricks are mainly useful for brunettes and darker roots, where there’s simply more contrast.
