It’s fascinating because they absolutely speak out against socialism, but the elimination of most jobs would require socialism for most people to survive so if we figure out how to share the money after AI has taken everybody’s jobs why can’t we figure out how to actually pay people living wages now and not take away their jobs. We can they just don’t want us to think that way.

People are treating AI like a religion. They have blind faith in what the 1% tell them is going to happen with no guarantee whatsoever. What is guaranteed? your life as you know it will be destroyed and rebuilt in their vision, not ours? That means we’ve lost a democracy

What can we do about it? It’s not like they’re elected so voting won’t get rid of them. It would take a complete overhaul of our tax structure, getting rid of Citizens United, and would require the majority of Congress to agree to pass these laws. I don’t see it happening.

I actually lost my job of 23 years to AI. it sucked but in a way it was a blessing at least for me because I am in a job now that I absolutely love and don't even want to think about the 23 years that I wasted my life at a place that didn't give to s***'s about their employees but yes AI is wrong and awful and we don't need it
