@fancyplantsclub: The way my tiny nursery liner fit perfectly into a @lafermiere.us yogurt jar?? 🙌 I added a wick through the bottom, filled the jar with water with liquid plant food in it and turned it into a mini self watering planter.🪴 The wick pulls water up into the soil as it dries, but I still let the reservoir completely empty before refilling it. Self watering does not mean the plant should sit in water constantly. For the wick, synthetic cord usually holds up best because it will not break down as quickly, but cotton string can work too. I’ve even seen people use a shoelace. You could do this with a larger nursery pot too. Just look for a jar, vase, or decorative planter that lets the nursery pot sit inside while the wick reaches the water below. And this is exactly why plant people are always saving glass jars and containers!🤭🙈 For a link to my favorite Plant Food from @Happy Happy Houseplant Use code: fancyplantsclub to save 10% Do you like self watering planters? 💚 #selfwateringplanter #planthack #plantdiy #houseplanttips #plantcaretips self watering planter | DIY planter | upcycled planter | plant hack | houseplant tips | tiny plants | easy plant DIY | yogurt jar planter | self watering plant pot
