suffolk is expensive and its so small the classes run like every other semester every other year and shit like that so it takes forever to actually graduate and also like EVERYONE transfers

i go to UMass Amherst and it’s great! a lot of stuff to do on campus but not as much to do in the surrounding areas which i know is a turn off for some people. still though i love it here

I’m in criminology at UMass Lowell and I love it. The campus is beautiful and so so peaceful and the criminology department is amazing. The classes have the right amount of complexity and the professors are all super sweet and supportive of everyone’s goals. They’ve helped me out so much navigate college and what I wanna do when I get out. There’s 2 professors in the department specifically that I hold close to me because they’ve been my biggest support system while going here they’re all amazing people to talk to and they genuinely show that they care about their students and their future rather than their grades. They’re also really good at connecting students to different places and opening/offering amazing opportunities. Idk much about the psych department but I know a friend in the department and they enjoy it

UMass Boston is such a commuter school and it’s hard to find friends and community there.. there’s a lot of transfers I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just going to college cuz you want to do class and that’s all

if money is a factor, choose Lowell or Amherst both great schools and much more affordable. If you're looking for a biggggg community, lots of people and more opportunities to "socialize" I'd say BU. It's huge, you're in the middle of Boston, and because they're bigger they have access to more resources and it will be a little easier to make connections. BC is great if you don't really want to be IN the city and don't wan't a huge school population. Umass Amherst is kinda in the middle of nowhere, so if you want city life this won't be it. Campus is hugeee tho and you will also make great connections. They're all great schools just depends on the kind of campus life you're looking for.

i’m currently at BC and love it so much!! i think BC is really great for living somewhere safe, clean, and with a very “college” vibe while also having access to the city

I am a psych major at UMB (my second year) it honestly is a good school for academics and is a beautiful campus, but I saw that you’re looking for social life and housing. UMBs social life isn’t that good unless you REALLY put yourself out there, there’s no parties or anything. Housing is also first come first serve and is only really for freshman (I live on campus as a sophomore cause of the first come first serve). If those are your main priorities I would definitely suggest another school!!
