Braided Lingonberry Milk Bread Ingredients: 1 ⅛ tsp instant dry yeast 2 tbsp brown sugar ¼ cup milk, warmed to 105-110 F 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder ¼ cup + 1 tbsp water 1 egg, on the smaller side ¾ cup + 2 tbsp gluten-free bread flour ¼ tsp salt 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened Directions: In a large bowl, combine the yeast, browned sugar, and warm milk, then let sit until foamed, around 4-5 minutes In a small bowl, combine the psyllium husk powder and water, then mix until a thick gel forms To the bowl with the yeast, add the psyllium husk gel, egg, flour, and salt, then mix until a sticky dough forms, then add in the softened butter and mix again Grease a clean bowl with butter, then add the dough into it and cover with a damp towel at let rise on the countertop for 1 hour or until doubled in size Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle, around ¼ inch thick, then spread jam on the surface and roll up into a cylinder, then cut in half lengthwise, so you can see all the layers Lay the sections next to each other, layers facing upwards, then twist together Place in a 4-inch rectangle baking tin and let proof for 30 more minutes Preheat the oven to 350 F, brush with egg wash, and bake for 25-30 minutes Serve with more jam Enjoy!! #milkbread #milkbreadrecipes #trendingfoods #viralrecipes
