@bosnia: Used to be state property 🙄 Bosnia has about 20 km of Adriatic coast, all of it in Neum. That’s the second-shortest coastline in the world, behind only Monaco. Croatia sits on both sides of it and reacts like Bosnia stepped onto his lawn. The funny part is how the lawn got there. In the 1680s, with the Holy League at war with the Ottomans, Dubrovnik handed the Ottomans the strip that is now Neum, so any attacker would have to cross Ottoman land to reach the city. It worked. Dubrovnik stayed untouched until Napoleon’s army arrived in 1806. So the neighbor did not get a stranger on his property. He got a guest he invited in on purpose, who then stayed for over 300 years.
