it's literally just letting you know your front camera is active like when you use facial recognition to unlock it or on FaceTime or something it will light up. it's nothing to be scared of or worried about.

I've had this one several times. And my screen flashed while I was on call with someone on messenger through fb. It blinked on and back off I was like that's odd! But I've definitely seen this green light appear on.

my screen will just randomly turn on and I get that little green light showing up. I for the life of me cant figure out why my phone screen turns on with that green light💯
